"What's for dinner?"

When my children lived at home, I dreaded this question. We were busy. There was never any time to cook, or thaw, or think about what we put into our bodies to keep us going, going, and going. We fell into a nightly routine of fast fixes that fed a family, but weren't particularly good for us, and they didn't inspire much enjoyment in the whole process. I am a planner by nature and heritage. I came up with a plan ... to plan our meals. It began with a list of every meal we made on a regular basis. I typed the list and drew meals out of a Nesquick can, writing meals in my calendar. When I first began meal planning, I filled in about three months worth of meals on the first day. I have since changed the way I plan, and we eventually changed the way we ate to accommodate our health. Hopefully, you can find something here that can help you.

Recipes and Shopping Lists

Making it easy...

When we plan our meals, we make two lists every week, and we keep them in a small journal that we take to the store. One list has the meals that we are planning to make. The other list has all of the items that we need to get from the store. I really hate visiting a blog and having to scroll through someone's endless life story to find the one thing I am wanting. You can choose to read the extra stuff I write, or not. It is entirely up to you. What I wanted was a way to give recipes in an easy format with shopping lists. It is up to you how you access the recipes.
